BETA SIGMA PHI COLLECTION ADDITIONAL
INTRODUCTION
The Beta Sigma Phi Collection Additional was accessioned into the Flesh Public Library Archives in March 2007. The materials were a further donation by Jacqueline Lange, the last Recording Secretary of the organization. The collection includes organizational records from 2000-2007.
On 7 March 2007, the Laureate Gamma Chi Chapter (No. PL 2264) voted to change the chapter status to “sustaining membership.” The chapter would have no set meeting dates and would no longer take minutes of its meetings or send records to national headquarters. The organization’s membership had been reduced to five members: Yvonne Gilmore, Jackie Lange, Martha Mote, Kathleen Smith, and Edie Thoma. Thus the organization officially ceased to exist and the last of their records were donated to the Flesh Public Library.
The collection is divided into five series: Chapter Minutes; Attendance Sheets; Obituaries; Correspondence, and Programs. The collection consists of seventeen files in one Hollinger box. There are no known restrictions on the use of this material.

The collection is divided into the following five series:

SERIES III Obituaries of deceased members and related materials
SERIES IV Correspondence – consisting primarily of materials received by the club
SERIES V Program Pamphlets: 1989-90 through 2006-07

File 16 Founder’s Day Programs – 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006
17 Yearly Programs: 1989-90 through 2006-07. The programs
contain the names of the officers, committees and
chairwomen, meeting dates and locations, and the names
of the members.
