LITTLE LEATHER LIBRARY ADDITIONAL COLLECTION

INTRODUCTION

The Little Leather Library Additional Collection was accessioned into the Piqua Public Library Archives and Special Collections in April, 2010 as a donation from Jim and Mary Jo Rossiter.  The collection consists of twenty-six Type-IV Little Leather Library books.  Type IV was published from the early 1920’s to mid-1924 and had a fake embossed leather cover which was green in color.  The “Little Leather Library” logo was embossed on the back cover along with “Redcroft Edition”.  The collection is housed in a single Hollinger box with twenty-five files.  Since the Little Leather Library published literature that had already come into the public domain and since the Little Leather Library ceased publication by c. 1930 there are no restrictions, literary or otherwise, on the use of these materials.
