WILDER INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL SIXTH GRADE CLASS PHOTOGRAPHS COLLECTION 1999-2014

INTRODUCTION

The Wilder school building (1120 Nicklin Ave.) was opened in 1925 and served as a combination elementary and junior high school for the north end of Piqua.  In the summer of 1999 the Piqua City School District was reorganized with the opening of the new Piqua Junior High School and in the reorganization Wilder Intermediate School was created with grades four, five and six.  In August 2015 two new primary school buildings (K-3) and one intermediate school building (4-6) were opened to serve the Piqua City District.  Five buildings including Wilder were closed and demolished.  The photographs in this collection are of the sixth grade classes during the time Wilder was an intermediate school.

The photographs were donated to the Piqua Public Library and accessioned into the Archives and Special Collections in June 2015.  They are now the property of the Piqua Public Library and there are no known restrictions on their use by Library patrons.
