Introduction

The John and Ursula Harris Collection was accessioned into the Piqua Public Library Archives and Special Collections on November 17, 2017 as a donation by Mrs. Ursula Harris.  The donation consists of a large number of artifacts and some print documents.  Within the artifacts is the tool chest and tools of Isaac Whitlock, the carpentry subcontractor for the Plaza Hotel construction project.  The artifacts are housed in five boxes in the Library’s artifacts storage area.  The artifacts will be made a part of the Library exhibits.  The print documents are housed in a single Hollinger box containing eighteen file folders and are available to our patrons and others for research.  The ownership of the collection has been transferred to the Piqua Public Library and there are no known restrictions on its use.
