MAUK – CLINTON GLENN MAUK COLLECTION

 

INTRODUCTION

 

MS-183, the Mauk – Clinton Glenn Mauk Collection was accessioned into the Flesh Public Library Archives and Special Collections in August 2008.  It contains 10 Series and 41 file folders housed in one Gaylord box.  There are no restrictions on the use of this collection.

HISTORY

 

            MS-183, the Mauk – Clinton Glenn Mauk Collection was accessioned into the Flesh Public Library Archives and Special Collections in August 2008.  Clinton Mauk was born in Darke County on May 10, 1887.  He was the son of John and Mary Mauk.  He married Ethel Pearson.  They had three daughters – Mrs. George (Vera) Baldwin of Casstown, and Mrs. Roy (Edna) Mikels of Troy, and one who died.  Their two sons were Kenneth Mauk of Troy and John Mauk of Piqua.  They also had twelve grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Clinton Mauk died on March 8, 1971.

 

            Mr. Mauk was a farmer and carpenter.  He and his family lived on a farm on Troy-Sidney Road.  They later moved to 418 Beverly Drive in Piqua.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the 2C Farm Bureau Council.
