Frances Orr Severinghaus Collection

 

INTRODUCTION

 

The collection of Frances Orr Severinghaus was accessioned into the Flesh Public Library Archives in June, 1999.

 

The collection fills four Hollinger boxes and twenty individual folders.  There are no restrictions on the use of this collection and the library copyright has been deeded to the public.

History

 

Frances Orr Severinghaus was born on April 20, 1892, and died in August, 1981.  She died in New York City and was buried in Seymour, Indiana.

 

Her father was Caleb Worley Orr who lived from 1845 until 1935.  Her mother was Gertrude Rhodehamel, who lived from 1866 to 1944.

 

Frances married William I. Severinghaus.  William lived from 1882 to 1947.  They were married in Piqua, Ohio on August 26, 1920.
