First Baptist Church, Piqua, Ohio:  copies of all documents pertaining to a lawsuit listed as No. 11,480 Court of Common Pleas; Miami County, Ohio.  The Plaintiffs were: John E. Loy, John E. Bradley, George W. Licklider, Joseph S. Small and John P. Wood Trustees and officers of the First Baptist Church of Piqua for themselves and other members of said church.  The Defendants were: William Clatworthy (pastor of the church), George W. McKee, Howard Millburn, John T. Cathcart, Morris J. Stillwell, James Hardesty, E. B. Fristoe, Frank Veith and George Licklider.  The suit was filed in 1890 and not resolved until 1895 along with a companion suit in 1894-1895 by W. C. Johnston against First Baptist Church for non-payment of attorney’s fees.

First Regular Baptist Church, Piqua, Ohio – a document stating the desire of the congregation to build a new church building and seeking to raise money to build it.  The document is dated June 6, 1846.  More than 75 individuals signed the document and put a pledged amount in dollars or in goods or services.  The pledges were to be paid in three installments: April 1, 1847; September 1, 1847 and when the building was completed.  The building was finished in 1848 and was used by the congregation until 1911.  The building with some exterior modifications is still standing at 217 West High Street and is currently the Piqua Masonic Temple.  The document is on paper pasted to cloth and mounted on a wood spindle.  It is 44” long and 9” wide.  The following individuals signed the document and made pledges:  Charles Williams; Joseph Hilliard; Simeon French; B. Flood photographs numbered “14” and “17” – the back of the photos identifies the photos as being from Piqua, Ohio however the location of the photos has not been determined.  The photos seem to be from the 1937 flood (determined by looking at the style of dress of the onlookers) and if they are then the location must be on the east side of the river in the Rush Creek area.

Fort Piqua Hotel – The Millsford, Executive Conference Center of the Miami Valley – 1993.  A proposal by Mid States Mortgage Corporation to completely renovate and add a new wing to the Fort Piqua Hotel. The addition would nearly double the size of the Hotel and turn it into a major conference center.  The architects were Richard Rauh & Associates and McBride & Kelley.  The twenty page booklet is written as if the project were already completed.  The booklet contains floor plans and interior and exterior elevations.  The project died for lack of funding.
